GOATWHORE: Forged by former Acid Bath/Crowbar guitarist Sammy Duet in 1997, it's been two decades since Goatwhore reared its menacing head from the swamplands of New Orleans, Louisiana on Metalblade records
Toxic Holocaust: TOXIC HOLOCAUST mutated into existence in 1999, when Joel Grind merged his love for classic punk and metal into his ideal band. Like his influences - Bathory, Venom, English Dogs, Possessed, Broken Bones - TOXIC HOLOCAUST featured blazing riffs, gravel-throated vocals, and a deadly fixation on the evil in man and a post-apocalyptic world. Grind wrapped all of these elements up with a DIY attitude. via Relapse Records

D.R.I: Kings of fucking crossover no further explanation necessary.
Sunlord: Sunlord is a heavy metal/rock NYC band formed in 2004 by Argentinian vocalist and guitarist Alfonso Ferrazza. Crack House: brand new crack 'n roll, mems of Eat the Turnbuckle
Activate: Thrashcore from the Greater Philadelphia area - With a Punk Rock attitude
No Gods: Disgusting and visceral tech thrash/death
BITERS: Kick ass rock n' roll from Atlanta on Earache Records. "In this digital age of disposable razors, disposable relationships and disposable music, anything authentic seems more precious than ever. Discovering the indigo denim of an old Levi's jacket or an arrowhead in your backyard are some of the joys untold. Biters are a rock and roll band hailing from Hatecity and upon first listen you know they are the real deal. Steeped in rock tradition, this young group blends the alchemic mixture of louder than Hendrix volume with a heaping elixir of pure brutality. If Tom Petty was assaulted by the Sex Pistols while Stiv Bator was pouring the drinks, that scene would approximate the sound of the Biters. Their music winks and nods at tradition but reveals glimmers of future. Biters will take a chunk out of your ass and heart leaving you wanting more." -Nico Constantine
Frankie & the Studs: First off, Hollywood’s Frankie + The Studs rock like hell. But you can sing along while you jack your fist into the air. They’re a mix of dirty converse, and messy black hair, slender hips and big kohl eyes, sexual tension and youthful verve, and you can tell their record collections are crammed with ’70s pop and glam, like Joan Jett, T. Rex and Bowie. But theirs ain’t no backward-gazing karaoke, and it’s not HBO’s Vinyl, either. No way. This spanking new Hollywood, Califa. quartet plays impassioned rock ’n’ roll music—the essential kind that can only be made by kids who use power-chord shout-outs and spiky lullabies to define their nighttime worlds and busted hearts. Frankie + The Studs will either be the saviors of rock ’n’ roll for a whole new generation of kids ready to smash culture to bits, or they’ll crash and flame out like The New York Dolls. No middle ground here, folks. But that’s rock ’n’ roll, how it was meant to be.
Wyldlyfe: WYLDLIFE Four dudes raised by alcoholic wolves. Fast rhythms and sweet melodies. Loud mouths. Leather jackets. Last spotted without t-shirts.
Sheena & thee Nosebleeds: "Commanding the stage, everything about frontwoman Sheena Powell is larger than life—especially her pipes—but don’t sleep on Thee Nosebleeds. Unlike a lot of garage rocker types, these guys are more Mötorhead than Mojo Men. They share the spotlight with a dynamic singer who can grab your attention visually as well as vocally." -Brian O'Neill, The Agit Reader

Grim Reaper 03/23/16
GRIM REAPER: Led by the inspired guitar work of Nick Bowcott and the powerful lungs of Steve Grimmett, Grim Reaper's tough, raw, but melodically charged music embodied British heavy metal's most popular devices (and clichés) throughout the mid-'80s. The fact that Grim Reaper was capable of combining the above attributes so competently, yet truly excelled at none of them resulted in an exceedingly swift "rags to glory and back to rags" story, which somehow was as surprising as it was strangely fitting. Add to this a far from attractive visual aesthetic (i.e., they were four crusty English dudes with handlebar moustaches, bad hair, and even worse teeth) and it was clear Grim Reaper was doomed to enjoy a limited afterlife in the newly established MTV regime.
Corners of Sanctuary: Classic Metal in the spirit of Dio & Priest, from Philly

Inter Arma: lots of black metal parts. lots of sludge parts. Drunk and rageing bassist.
Helgardh: A dark and aggressive force is emerging out of the cold and arid atmosphere of the Appalachian Mountains. Helgardh is comprised of the unique blend of ardent death metal and baleful black metal. Founded by guitarist and vocalist Famine in 2009, they have since been on a quest to disperse their somber and sickening message. Spewing words of the Occult and Witchcraft underneath technically written composition and rugged melodies, this band will become perpetual. You have a slaying monster that’s spreading its putrid filth. They infested the Appalachian with their plague, and they’re descending from the rocks where they came to disperse their epidemic. This indomitable beast will surely poison your mind.

SILVER SNAKES: Year of the Snake is Silver Snakes' first full-length in nearly three years, following 2011's Pictures of a Floating World (as well as 2012's Old Light single and last year's split EP with Souvenirs and Sundance teaser). Their sophomore effort builds on the promise of those releases, delivering a heavy, uncompromising, metallic post-hardcore/alternative hybrid experimentally touching upon both ends of the rock spectrum, from sludgy forays to acoustic detours and a snarling melodic sensibility spread throughout.

Se7en Heads: Since their arrival on the bill in early 2005 SE7EN HEADS have made a name for themselves and their live shows never cease to disappoint the fans and the uninitiated. SE7EN HEADS have rocked every stage in the Philadelphia area, including such local haunts as The Khyber Pass, The North Star Bar and The Trocadero Theater, earning them recognition and respect from all walks of local music. Their contributions to the local music scene in Philadelphia and support of other local bands are undeniable.rn Their First Full album in 2006 entitled “The Fury†earned them regular air play on “Loud and Localâ€, a show dedicated to bringing the underground above ground, broadcasted on 94.1 WYSP. The album features such fan favorites as “It†and “Hold it like a Hammer†which still dawn their live sets to this day.
Travia: It is no coincidence that the followers of hard hitting TRAVIA often have a difficult time describing them to fit into one specific genre. The heavy Philadelphia four piece has made it a collective goal to remain an unpredictable driving force, constantly blurring the limitations of music. Listeners can expect the music of TRAVIA to stand out from the repetitive local scene of today and instead offer an alternative that keeps the audience guessing. We play for the love of music. We play as one. We are TRAVIA.
Reckless Behavior: Reckless Behavior is committed to penning metallic songs with old-school craftsmanship, forging a new sound from the inspiration of their heavy metal forefathers. Denim and Leather: With a lineup that boasts National & International Recording Artists and a zealot’s passion for their trade, it’s no shock that DENIM AND LEATHER have established themselves as North America’s Premier Classic & Traditional Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Tribute Band. National & International Recording Artist & Singer James Rivera, (Helstar, Malice, Seven Witches, Flotsam and Jetsam & Vicious Rumors) a big draw in his own right, leads the charge as the band performs & pays tribute to classic favorite songs to it’s fullest level. Performing songs by legendary rock acts like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Accept, Scorpions and Dio to name a few. Joining James Rivera on stage is the dynamic duo guitar masters John Risko (Sinister Realm) & Matt 'Redzy' Smith on lead and rhythm guitar, bassist Jeff Baker (Ronny Munroe Band, Kings Chamber & Aggressor) and drummer Tim DuBois (Kings Chamber, Kraken & Savage). DENIM AND LEATHER isn’t just your ordinary rock tribute band, they don’t limit themselves to doing only one popular band like so many others do, they cover an enormous array of bands wrapped up into one ultimate tribute band. DENIM AND LEATHER appeals to both long-time rock fans, current rock fans and younger fans of the Guitar Hero/Rock Band type video games that have recently brought this all back to even yet a younger audience once again. “DENIM AND LEATHER is a must see! A band that all types of rock fans have been screaming for: A band with energy, power, passion & grit. Beware... These guys rip and tear!†says Adrian Zupp of Harrah’s Entertainment, now Caesars Entertainment of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Season of Mourning: SEASON of MOURNING is a 5 piece, progressive/doom metal band based just outside of Philadelphia (Delaware County to be exact). In 2012, the band signed with Philadelphia-based, Toil Records, for the re-release of their 2010 ep, “Nameless Onesâ€, thus making it available worldwide for the first time. The band is currently in Heist 22 Recording Studio, working on their first full length cd since 2001, entitled “Salvationâ€.
School of Rock House Band: The School Of Rock Philly House Band, aka 'The B Team', has been rocking in Philadelphia since 1998. The first of now over 100 SORs,the Philly school was featured in the award-winning feature film 'Rock School,' the inspiration for the classic Jack Black comedy 'School of Rock.' The House Band is comprised of the top 10 students at the school. They are all multi-instrumentalists and singers and, surprisingly, most have been playing for 3 years or less. (Our teaching method works!) These kids and 80 others attend SOR weekly and perform shows often. Your kids can too. We are located at 421 N 7th St, downtown, next to the Electric Factory. MindMaze: Lehigh Valley Kick-ass female-fronted Traditional Prog/Power Metal. In a time when female-fronted metal is at an all-time high in popularity but also at an all-time high for copycats and imitators, MindMaze has striven hard to forge their own sound and identity. Hailing from Allentown, Pennsylvania the four-piece band are young (all under the age of 25), but have honed their craft with close to one-hundred gigs spanning over two-hundred miles, including sharing the stage with metal mainstays such as Overkill, George Lynch, Doro, Raven, Jon Oliva’s Pain, Circle II Circle, and others. The band now is vying for international attention with the release of their first full-length album “Mask of Lies†in February 2013. Featuring almost 60 minutes of original metal, “Mask of Lies†aims to satisfy fans of Traditional, Progressive, and Power Metal and all points in between with in-your-face metal anthems, sprawling epics, and melodic balladry. The group’s sound strives to be something truly unique while paying homage to their variety of influences. Fans of Iron Maiden can admire the harmonized guitar wizardry and galloping bass lines, while fans of Savatage can admire the use of piano work alongside heavy rhythm guitar playing. Fans of Dream Theater and Rush can admire the bass and drum interplay as well as the variety of time signature changes, but most of all there is something to be said for the quality level of songwriting the band strives to achieve. Matched with the impressive yet tasteful playing of the rest of the band (including brother Jeff Teets on guitar/keyboards, Rich Pasqualone on bass, and Kalin Schweizerhof on drums) and an exciting live performance to boot!rn
