Blackhand: BlackHand is a stoner metal band from Deleware. And the Devil Rode Forth is their just released EP. I tell you, it was quite an honor to hear this. They weren’t a band I knew about before they emailed me but I’m glad they did. The guitars are heavy and mighty with skull crunching riffs. They site bands such as Danzig, Alice in Chains, Iron Maiden, Tool, Judas Priest, Early Man, Black Sabbath as a few of their influences. They wear those influences well. I do detect a tad bit of early Metallica. I particularly like the whole NWOBHM feel and the Danzig-ish vocals they got going.
We The People: Delaware County Metal-Punks bringing the gift of anger
Synapse Defect: Synapse Defect first started writing and performing live in 2005. First local to Orlando, Florida, for two years, and then relocating to Atlanta, Georgia in 2007. The projects intention was to create a new sound in the realms of Death Metal and Grindcore that was extremely animated, fast and brutal yet still comprehensible and lyrically meaningful. It is not typical for it's genre, but the band's lyrical content tends to be rhythmic and in most cases rhyming. Although having many catchy aspects to their music, one would not be likely to identify a chorus or 'hook' amongst the bands songs. The lyrical content often speaks out against corporations, fiat currency, government collusion, corruption, and general ignorance. And serves as a strong advocate for liberty, responsibility, and the development of human consciousness.
CHOREA: Formed in October of 2004, Chorea is made up of members which encompass a wide variety of musical styles. Chorea consists of Vocalist Chris Williams, Guitarists Chris Gelok & Elijah Masiko, Bassist Walt Lewandowski and Drummer Ian Mcgarry. All members bring their own sense of creativity and originality to the band, which results in some of the most sporatic death metal and hardcore with breakdowns and sections from various styles of music that your neck can withstand. Known to sport masks and coveralls, foam at the mouth and completely take the crowd over with blistering riffs, unpredictable transitions and the bloodiest of breakdowns, they never fail to crush assumptions, defy stereotypes and just plain blow minds.
